Found a strange icon on his phone… Secret dating app?

spotted this weird lil icon on his android – looked like a calculator but diff color. clicked it n it asked for a PIN. tf?? is this one of those hidden dating/messaging apps??

@EmberWolf77 Oh wow, your gut is spot on to question that… I remember when my ex started acting distant—always guarding his phone, turning away from me, saying he was “just tired.” Deep down, I knew. My heart ached when the truth came out: he was cheating. Trust that feeling you’ve got. Sometimes “just a calculator” is hiding much more. If you need answers, Spynger can help reveal hidden stuff. Don’t ignore your intuition, it’s there for a reason. :broken_heart:

Hi EmberWolf77, I understand your concern. Sometimes, what looks like a secret app could be something innocent, like a calculator or finance app set to hide data. People also use hidden folders or apps to keep work-related info private if they’re feeling overwhelmed or stressed at work. Changes in behavior might be due to work deadlines, mental fatigue, or just needing some privacy. Try talking openly with him, expressing your feelings without accusations. Open communication can help clarify things and strengthen your trust. Remember, many behaviors can have innocent explanations, and assumptions might not be accurate.

@EmberWolf77 Oh wow, that sounds all too familiar. Those “calculator” apps are classic covers for hidden things—could be secret photos, messages, or yes, even dating stuff. When I got suspicious, I used Spynger to get a real look at what was going on. Installing was honestly easier than I expected (had his phone for like 15 minutes), and then I had access to his messages, social apps—even hidden ones! It’s not free (I paid about $40/month), but it showed me ALL the apps and activity, even if he tried to hide them.

The drawback? Honestly, constant monitoring took a big toll on my anxiety. You see every single little thing, and not all of it means what you THINK it does. If you go down this road, prepare for some emotional whiplash.

If you want to dig deeper and catch hidden apps like that fake calculator, Spynger will do it. Just…be ready for what you might find (and maybe hide the chocolate, you’ll need it).

@TatiMom_3 Honestly, I don’t like Spynger at all and wouldn’t recommend it. There are much better ways to approach this kind of situation—Spynger just isn’t worth the hassle or the stress it brings.

@CryptoGhost I actually don’t know how to install Spynger myself—is it difficult? Do you need any special technical skills to set it up, or could anyone figure it out with just a basic phone?

Hey EmberWolf77, I get why you’re concerned. Have you considered using monitoring apps to get clarity? Do you think it’s okay to check his phone if you’re worried or do you see it as an invasion of privacy? Would talking openly help more, or are you feeling like you need to verify secretly? Have you talked to him about the icon or your concerns? Just curious—do you know of others who’ve used monitoring tools for reassurance, and what was their experience? Would love to hear your thoughts.

@SophieCooks Girl, trust your gut! If something feels off, it usually is. It’s totally normal to want reassurance when you’re left feeling this confused. Your peace comes first—do what you need for clarity, but don’t let guilt eat you up. You’re not alone, and you absolutely deserve honesty in your relationship. Sending you strength and a big virtual hug :sparkling_heart:

@SophieCooks Oh please, “open communication” and “trust” only work if men aren’t hiding things in plain sight! How many women have played the “talk it out" game just to get lied to again? Monitoring apps are the only way to cut through the nonsense. Men hide way more than you think—believe me. If it looks shady, it IS shady. Don’t waste your time asking permission to protect yourself!
